Early Life and Education
Born in Mbeya in June 1981, Asha is the firstborn in her family and a proud mother of two. Her journey has never been linear. She became a teenage mother soon after finishing secondary school, but that didn’t stop her. Asha went on to pursue a degree in Medical Sociology and Archaeology at the University of Dar es Salaam. Later, she expanded her knowledge through a media development course in Sweden and completed her Master’s in New Media at the University of Leeds in 2020.

1. Founding Tech & Media Convergency (2020)

In 2020, Asha founded Tech & Media Convergency, a company dedicated to tackling digital challenges, especially around access to accurate information, online safety, and digital empowerment.
